His name is Brett Cox, and his thought was “What is the greatest need that I can serve?”. It was this question that led him on a journey that resulted in him moving to a country far away from Texas. Little did he know, that half-way through that trip, the worldwide coronavirus event would kick off and eliminate the opportunity to return back. He was effectively stuck in his hometown with his wife and daughter, and soon to realize that the temporary visit would turn into a permanent stay. That’s when the same question emerged once again “What is the greatest need that I can serve here in Waco?” Much time was spent thinking on this before he came to his conclusion. Drawing on his experience in caring for his own grandmother, he found his answer to the question once again, ‘the elderly’. “They need the most time and the most help, yet often seem to be neglected.” he explained. Others were tired of the ‘Selina today, Suzy tomorrow’ style of caregiving, but now thrilled that Brett was their one-and-only caregiver.
